• State Plan and Monitoring Committee:

Develops, writes, and monitors the State Plan for Independent Living in Rhode Island. 

• Finance/Resource Committee:

 Oversees the Council Resource Plan.

•  Leadership Development & Advocacy Committee:

Recommends and trains people with disabilities to learn leadership skills. 

Promotes local and federal legislation favorable to the independent living philosophy.  

Leadership Development's Sub-Committees are:

•  Membership sub-Committee

Responsible for the recruitment and orientation of new members.

 

 All standing Committees and sub-Committees play a vital role in achieving implementation of Rhode Island's State Plan for Independent Living.
