Members Present:  Christina Battista; Wheeler Clemens; Kristen Connors (speaker phone); Margarita Grome; Jean Lawlor (speaker phone); Anna Liebenow, Co-Chair; Christianne Montoya; Jason Pisano; Jack Ringland; Heidi Showstead; Vanessa Volz; Mary E. Wambach, Co-Chair.

1.       Welcome new members and Introductions:  Mary Wambach welcomed all. Self-introductions were made.  

  1. Review and approval of January minutes: previously sent. A motion was made by Jean Lawlor and seconded by Jack Ringland to accept the minutes as written. Vote passed unanimously. 
  2. 2010 ADA Event:  Ideas were discussed and responsibilities assigned.

ü    Vendor tables - $25 non-profit, $50 commercial

ü    Tee-shirt  - 20th ADA Celebration/”ADA has changed my life”

ü    Flyer – “Inclusion”, “All are Welcome”

ü    Kristen and Vanessa – save the date, press release.

ü    Jean and Renay -  sponsorship/vendor flyer

ü    Jean – voter registration, RIDVP sponsorship(?)

ü    Heidi – follow up phone calls to sponsors/corporate offices

ü    Wheeler – Attorney General’s office ADA contact info

ü    Christianne and Jack – art work for tee-shirt

ü    Christianne and Lisel – face painting/children’s table

ü    Mary – entertainment: Keith Munslow, Get on the Crazy Bus

ü    Jack – ADA website information

ü    Anna – contact VSA

ü    Anna – flyer “What the ADA means to me”

  1. Position Paper – Employment: A draft was sent out for members to review. Discussion tabled.
  2. Update Disability History Week Bill: no update.
  3. Updates – SILC budget, funding, programs: SILC goals, objectives, and activities were discussed.
  4. Updates/Reports: RIPTA, YLF, other: no update.
  5. Announcements – external events, occasions: none.
